This is part of your wedding where you can really show your personality and whatever the style of your day, you can go for any theme you like. If you’re looking for fantastic table name ideas, we’ve rounded up five fabulous themes for you right here and we’ve even included a few extra quirky table names too…
Travel inspired wedding table names
Travel inspired table names always work really well and you’ve got lots of options here. You could choose to tell your story through the names you choose – go for names of countries you’ve visited together, destinations you love or even places that you want to visit together in the years to come.
For added travel inspiration, bring in even more personalisation to your tables. You could use photos of you on your travels on the tables or on your table plan. Display travel postcards or add in little props to your centrepieces that match up with the names of the tables. You could also use vintage luggage tags, maps, replica tickets, airmail paper or even paper airplanes!

Your favourites – table name ideas you’ll love
You know what you love so why not bring your favourite things into your wedding? If you’re a huge music fan, film buff or lover of literature, then you’ve got the basis for your wedding table names right here. Choose albums you love, books that include quotes that mean something special or vintage films. We’ve also seen tables named after dog breeds, cars and even designer labels!
Again, why not add some extra details to your tables to highlight your choices? Stacks of books make fabulous ‘stands’ for table centres and film props and postcards work really well for movie-inspired tables. You really can get as creative as you like here and the more you can do to put your stamp on things, the better.

Celebrate your ‘firsts’
Everyone’s love story is different and everyone has their own story to tell. You can tell yours through your wedding table names and share those important ‘firsts’ with all your guests. When did you first meet? When you did go for that first date? Add in the moments that you first said ‘I love you’, went on holiday together, moved in and, of course, got engaged! Or just pick out numbers than mean something – how many holidays you’ve taken together, how many months you’ve been engaged. It’s completely up to you!
Add photos to your table names of you both for a really unique look and you could even include a few lines of text on the reverse of table name cards to tell your tale in more detail. It’s a great way to get guests talking, especially if some of them were involved in these moments too.

Tasty wedding table names
If you’re known as a bit of a foodie or if you love a craft beer, cocktail or delicious G&T, using these as the basis of you wedding table names can be a really tasty option. You could choose restaurants you love, cheeses, drinks or anything that whets your appetite.
We’ve seen some wonderful table names recently that have been accessorised with beautiful gin bottles, corks and even table centres that have incorporated fruits and much more besides. If this idea appeals to you, take a look on Pinterest because you’ll find stacks of inspiration there as well as great ideas for decorations.

Truly personal ideas
Bringing your own hobbies and interests into your wedding will make for a truly personal day. Is there a sport that you play? Does everyone know you love baking, running, hiking? Did you both go to college together? Do you love photography, festivals, computer games or a certain TV show? There are so many things that you can include that your guests will instantly associate with you.
As always, think what you can include on your table name cards so that everyone understands the significance of the names you’ve chosen. Don’t be afraid to add some little props to tables – couples who love Lego for example have included little mini figures. After all, if it’s something you love, it’s worthy of inclusion!
