Working for Nibbles2Nosh, it seemed only right that Charlotte should marry at Upwaltham Barns, where she had worked on many occasions.
“We couldn’t have chosen anywhere else,” she smiles. “Working here for so many other weddings meant that it would feel like home to be married here ourselves.”
Setting an early September wedding date, the happy couple started their planning.
Design and Décor
The happy couple chose a colour scheme of white and green with an abundance of foliage, soft ruscus, eucalyptus and white hydrangeas. Green water glasses were a lovely addition to the tables and festoon lighting with white lanterns looked stunning.
Window shopping for dresses on her own, Charlotte came across ‘the dress’, a beautiful gown from Proposals in Chichester.
She accessorised with a hair vine, simple court shoes and elegant jewellery including diamond earrings from Dom.
Meanwhile, Dom looked the part in a deep blue three-piece suit from Reiss with a Liberty print tie and pocket square.
Order of The Day
Following their romantic ceremony in the barn itself, the newlyweds enjoyed drinks and canapés with their guests.
Moving in to dine, Nibbles2Nosh served a spectacular menu of roast chicken with all the trimmings followed by chocolate brownies and ice cream.
“We also had a cake of cheese created by Nibbles2Nosh and a cheese table for the evening food,” explains Charlotte.
As the sun went down, the party started, with music a key element of this special day.
“We filled the day with music from artists we have met over the years,” continues Charlotte. “This included a steel pannist for the coffee hour… and we flew in a DJ from Barcelona for the evening.”
Pizza, waffles and hot drinks were served in the courtyard as a fun addition to the cheese table. The perfect finale to the most romantic of days.
Advice from the Bride
“Book everyone as soon as you can to avoid missing out on suppliers.”
