“The glam wedding style is classic and definitely stands the test of time, giving a gentle to that amazing Hollywood glamour of the 40s and 50s. It’s a quite a simple look but the bold red lipstick means it isn’t for the faint-hearted Confidence is the key to pulling this look off!” – Cathryn
“I started by prepping and priming the model’s skin with Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentrate as I wanted to make sure that her skin shined through. I picked up a technique for the base layer from an amazing MUA to the stars, Scott Barnes, using concealer in a light tone under the eye and down the centre of the face. I then used Airbase as a foundation which is sprayed onto the skin rather than brushed. This makes the makeup much less visible and eliminates any imperfections too.” – Cathryn
“When it came to the eyes, I used a pigment called Pearl from Peaches & Cream in the centre of the eye with a bit of contouring using a taupe brown. To accentuate and brighten the eye, I then added liquid eyeliner to create a cat eye effect. I used a set of Ardell Demi Wispies, and then cut another in half and added to the ends. This, combined with the flicked eyeliner created a dramatic look and really opened up the eye.” – Cathryn
“Next, I used contouring to enhance the cheekbones and bone structure, added Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter to highlight and a pop of pink blush high up on the cheekbone. Finally, I added the most important thing you could wear for a glamorous bridal style – a true red lipstick. A good piece of advice, something with blue undertones will also make your teeth appear whiter!” – Cathryn
For a glam wedding hairstyle, Carol first put the model’s hair in rollers to maximise volume. She then sectioned the hair to create Hollywood waves and swept them over one shoulder to create an impactful look. To finish with a bit of a sparkle and give a sense of that Hollywood glamour, Carol added a number a few vintage hair clips.
